Who I Am

Born in the north west of Ireland (Donegal/Tyrone) where my family farmed. After a stint at boarding school university etc, moved to London after realising that I wasn't cut out to be a farmer. I live in Hampstead (nice, a bit boring in the Winter but difficult to beat in the Summer). A fairly active and sociable animal.. I try hard to keep fit (gym and boxing badly but getting better ). Am a member of Soho House and the Third Space and visit both establishments (too) frequently. Generally speaking, I work (fairly) hard and play (very) hard. I'm a divorce lawyer who enjoys his job (lots of Kleenex but never a dull day). Fortunately I have some very interesting clients (many from the worlds of music and entertainment ). I have a life outside the law...in addition to sport and various purely hedonistic pursuits I am involved with the peace-building charity, Co-operation Ireland. Travel is a passion of mine and I try to get out of London as often as possible ... I am fond of North Africa (particularly Morocco), the Middle East ( have recently returned from a break in the Lebanon... great great place...good food, friendly attractive people and very few tourists...) and Greece where I spend several weeks each year, mostly in Mykonos...surprise surprise. I like to ski and love the Canadian Rockies (Former boyfriend of c10 years was Canadian, I retain a soft spot for the place...North America without Bush, guns or grime). I read quite a bit (especially travel literature, William Dalrymple and Wilfred Thesiger being favourites) also like serious literature and poetry (esp. James Joyce and Kahlil Gibran). Generally speaking, my interests are very eclectic and range from the arts to rugby (ROH to the Box). I have a lot of energy am relatively extrovert and enjoy meeting people. The bottom line is that I'm a sensitive, fit, calm, bright, handsome, good humoured (and modest) chap. Sorry unable to download a photo. For details see my entry in the jakeTM site
