Due to a family crisis, Michael, a gay middle-aged digital nomad, returns home from Peru to visit his homophobic father, Frank. Only Frank is now suffering from early-stage dementia and being cared for by Sandeep a young, mysterious gay Sikh man. As for Michael hes struggling to process unresolved childhood trauma after an overwhelmingly intense ayahuasca ceremony in the Amazon jungle. The stage is set for an emotional roller coaster of a ride Walking Each Other Home is a tragi-comedy set in the claustrophobic confines of a dilapidated Norfolk cottage on the hottest day ever recorded in the UK. This powerful new play, by author and playwright Tim Graves, explores the oftentimes dysfunctional relationship between gay men and their fathers. It also dramatises an unexpected encounter between two gay men from very different backgrounds. Will father and son reconcile before its too late? What is the nature of Sandeeps true identity? Will Michael stay in Norfolk or return to Peru? The audience is invited to view this deeply spiritual and beautiful piece of work through three unique lenses: Franks Alzheimers. Michaels love of Amazonian shamanism. And Sandeeps Sikh faith.
