Queer Cowboys @ Kings Head Theatre

Queer Cowboys is a semi-autobiographical play about Freddie, a resident of Oklahoma new to their transgender identity, who combats loneliness by embarking on a mission to discover their transcestors. In the process, they excavate two true forgotten stories of the Old West: Harry Allen and Little Joe Monahan, two transgender cowboys. With beloved country jams performed by a live band, the true stories of these two transgender cowboys are brought back to life. Queer Cowboys is coming to the Kings Head for the first time, following a successful world premiere at Wiltons Music Hall in 2022. It is written and performed by West End star and wannabe cowboy, Freddie Love (Just For One Day, But Im a Cheerleader), who is a long-time collaborator of the Kings Head. Freddie Love uses a mix of gig-theatre, verbatim theatre, and cabaret to do these cowboys justice. "Operatic and smouldering" - The Stage
