Swindon & Wiltshire Pride takes place on Saturday the 10th August 2024. Swindon & Wiltshire Pride was launched in 2008, with the first ever Pride festival being held in Swindon. In 2009, the Pride event was expanded to incorporate Swindon & Wiltshire Pride. This year's pride will be a cut down event, consisting of a small pride picnic. Pride is inclusive of all. Children are welcome, especially with accompanying adults. Parade Pride March @ 11:00. The Pride March will start promptly at 11:30 and make its way through town, towards the town hall and then to Queens Park, ready to begin Pride. Bring your placards, whistles and, of course, flags. Dress in what you feel comfortable wearing. This is a walking parade only, and no vehicles will be allowed. Accessibility: There are no steps on the route however, the parade route is on an incline and uneven in places. The route does go up Victoria Hill towards the end. Pride Picnic From 12:00 until 18:00 We are inviting you to Queens Park for our first Pride Picnic. A place to bring the LGBTQIA+ community together and celebrate, educate and raise awareness of the LGBTQIA+ community. While this isn't our usual large Pride event, we are thrilled to be hosting a smaller event that encourages the LGBTQIA+ community and allies to come along for the day. Bring a picnic, a blanket, and a pride flag. Chill out zone We are excited to share that we have added a new zone, the "Chill out zone". This area will be located away from the main area of the park for those that need to get away from the noise and take some time away from the hustle and bustle of the main area. Main Pride zone This will be where our entertainment will be from live music, our sponsors, stalls, pride merchandise our Rainbow deckchair and more!
