Above The Stag Theatre & Bar is searching for the UK's next drag cabaret star! Over three weeks, the incomparable Wilma Ballsdrop - and panel of judges, will be voting through two acts to the grand final, the winner taking their own cabaret show at the venue on 7th December (and the runner up having a shorter, warm-up slot). Do you have a unique or startling talent? It could be singing, comedy, burlesque or lip sync (or a combination of all of these!). If so, bring your best 15 mins to the Above The Stag stage and show us what you've got! Places are limited to 18 (6 per week), so the sooner you apply, the better chance you have of being cast! We particularly welcome and encourage submissions from ethnic minorities, diverse abilities, sexualities, genders and gender identities, including queens, kings and AFAB/bio queens, representing the full spectrum of diversity in today's colourful and exciting cabaret world. All tickets 10 ABOUT WILMA BALLSDROP Wilma the Welsh Warbler, giantess and drag superstar has taken the London cabaret world hostage by storm, with seven residencies across the city, including two at her home-from-home, the Admiral Duncan pub, probably Soho's, if not London's, most iconic LGBT venue. She is also a London Pride's Got Talent grand finalist and has been nominated for a Boyz cabaret award. In her varied career she has been a hand model for Atrixo, the face of Kwik Fit, the body double for the alien queen in 'Aliens' (running around in black PVC for two weeks) and she was in Bananarama for six minutes in 1988. Wilma is moist with anticipation at being involved in finding a drag superstar from the next generation; she has even started shaving her bits!
