Conversations @Credit Suisse with Lord Cashman

Lord Cashman began his acting career at a young age and is best remembered for his appearances in EastEnders where he played the role of Colin Russell a character who shared the first gay kiss in a British soap opera. In 1989 he co-founded Stonewall, the LGBT rights charity, serving as its Founding Chair for five years. Lord Cashman became a Labour MEP in 1999, acting as the party's spokesman on human rights in the European Parliament. He went on to serve as Chair of the Labour Party's National Executive Committee in 2012. Lord Cashman was awarded a CBE in 2013 for public and political service and was made a Life Peer in 2014. He continues to use this platform to fight discrimination against minorities across the globe The Credit Suisse EMEA LGBT & Ally Network are pleased to invite you to join us on Thursday, September 6 at 18:00 in the 5th Floor Auditorium at Five Canada Square. Mike DiIorio, our Head of Equities in EMEA and Co-Sponsor of the CS EMEA LGBT & Ally Network, will host the conversation with Lord Cashman, asking him about his journey from acting to public service and the issues that still drive him today.
