Londons award-winning LGBTQ+ literary salon Polari returns to WOW. Now in its eleventh year, Polari has been showcasing the best in established and emerging LGBT literary talent since 2007. This years event is headlined by award-winning poet and short story writer Jen Campbell, hosted by author Paul Burston, with a lineup exploring gender, sexuality and what it means to be a woman today. read less Jen Campbell is an award-winning poet and short story writer. Her debut short story collection, The Beginning of the World in the Middle of the Night, is published by Two Roads. Jen is also the author of children's book Franklin's Flying Bookshop, published by Thames & Hudson, and The Sunday Times-bestselling Weird Things Customers Say in Bookshops series, and The Bookshop Book. Her poetry pamphlet The Hungry Ghost Festival is published by The Rialto, and she won an Eric Gregory Award in 2016. Jen worked as a bookseller for ten years and now runs a YouTube channel, where she talks about all things books. She is currently a judge for the Somerset Maugham Award and is Vlogger in Residence for the Poetry Book Society. She grew up in the north east of England and now lives in London.
