Wednesday 8 May 2013 City University London Drysdale Lecture Theatre (ELG19), Drysdale Building, City University London, Northampton Square, The Equip (Equality in Publishing) project and the Department of Creative Practice and Enterprise at City University London welcome submissions for a one-day conference on 8 May 2013 on the theme of Developing the Publishing Workforce. The Equip (Equality in Publishing) project and the Department of Creative Practice and Enterprise at City University London are delighted to invite you to a conference on Wednesday 8 May entitled Developing the Publishing Workforce. The opening speech at the conference will be from the poet Dean Atta, who will discuss his views of publishing. Atta's poetry has been described by Benjamin Zephaniah as, 'Beyond black, beyond white, beyond straight, beyond gay'. The conference will begin at 10am and end at 7pm. It will be followed by a networking event for Equip members.
